How do they work if the glasses are pushed into the ground at all? Just curious if it will affect them like it did in my tests?

Great image i like the little flares and rainbows this is why i came to maxwell ! Are the bands in the glass or are they the meniscus of water ?

Thanks. The bands are modelled as part of the glass. The glasses are actually empty.

Yes, but as you can see, caustics that need to travel through multiple mediums will of course take much longer. You can see the spotty multicolored pixels starting to converge:

Also, with the slight penetration of the water mesh with the glass mesh, the result will not be correct. Too many normals. :(

It's good to know they are appearing at least. In the tests I was playing with I couldn't see them at all with penetrating geo but I haven't heard any word back on the question from NL.
