Thanks, and sure, here are the settings:
dual athlon mp 2600+ 2 gigs of ram.
render settings:

sky dome, color white. intensity 40. plastic shader for leather, and metal shader for loaft base and table. the rest is difusse material. render time, one hour. Thanks

But if i can say something.. it's too evenly shaded and colorized, there's no contrast in it. No real exciting light setup. If u threw in a high intensity spotlight from any angle it would give it more life

also, you have some scale problems, like the sun glasses, comparing them to newspaper, they should be bigger, shoudn't they ?
btw, image looks cool

smooth, mr palo is smaller than a man, like a child size.
