Well done Joep!
two remarks:
- the window frames could use a little more detailing
(they just look like wooden beams which make them very unreal -
take a look at your own windows)
- the couch needs some more smoothing (see 2nd image)
cheers!

The handrails and glasses are awesome! And the image looks great globally.
The window frame got my attention too because of the low detail though. And the stairs will fall with those fat carriages connected to nowhere.

Thanx guys! I'll take a look at the window frames again.
About the stairs, i hoped nobody would notice

but obviously someone does, i'll change that too as i got a very strict teacher

is this an architectural school project? or a rendering school project?
in the case of the first i got a whole lot more remarks, but in the case of the latter:
- the stairs indeed seem weird, and not just the fact that is floats, but the proportions between the steps and the main beam.
- the tiling on the two top doors is identical per door also a lot of tiling in the door itself.
- an exterior would be nice, the tow black windows are somewhat destracting

Superb. Lots of aliasing in some places (shelves on the right and TV in the first image, lamp in the second) but I know that'll be fixed easily. Rightmost cream cushion on the sofa looks lighter on the bottom than on the top(?) effect from the materials perhaps(?)
BTW, love the concrete textures and the view of the reflections in the dome lampshade.

@Bige Actually this is an architectural project but i wanted to do something extra by visualizing the interior. We have to draw the plans and make a model of foamboard.
Yes i'm going to change the stairs, i haven't use the stairs formula to calculate the steps yet. And the doors need a little offset, for the textures.
@JamesColeman Thanx. Yes now that you mention it i see a lot of aliasing too. But it's also visible in the MXI, any idea how to get rid of it?
The light on the sofa has to be from the satin cushions.. don't know an other explanation..

very nice images.
Is it my eyes or is there a scale issue? They look like images of asmaller scale model to me.

Thank you.
Well the house is kind of small and i'm using a 22 mm lens, that could why it looks that way. In 3ds Max the house is 10 x 20 x 6.2 meters and the room 6 x 6.5 x 6 meters.

Really nice images.
Just don't forget - it's an
architectural project, so don't forget about the blueprints, too

- I guess they're the core of the whole thing. Although, it's nice to work on the renders too, since it takes time to render them.
As for my personal experience from school projects - blueprints always go first; renders are just 'something extra'.
I just hate when the renders are being treated like this:
- the teacher will be checking every single line of the blueprint, asking you all the possible questions, and when it finally comes to the renders he would say: "
Oh, the renders... OK, fine. We're done..."
- the the teacher sees your 'perfect' renders and you can literally read it in his eyes: "
So, you think you're a render god, ha?". And the next thing he does is he starts asking architectural questions like: "
Take a look at that wall. What's that material? Wood you say? No way. Fire dept. would never let you make it out of wood. And this gap here - looks way too small. Should be at least 0,9m. You should know that. And this table here - it's way too low..." Etc. And he'll keep asking and asking (things he would never asked from looking at the blueprints) until he makes sure you never do a single render again...
Anyways, good luck with your project.

I've only seen aliasing like that in Maxwell when the image has been resized/zoomed. If you look at the MXI at 100% does it still show?

@m-Que Hahaha great story! I know what you're talking about and I'm kind of expecting this. But hey, i'm doing this as an extra and for fun because I didn't get the change to work with
Maxwell for half a year now..

And also, i'm in a design school so this is my design for an interior
@JamesColeman Yes i know, that why i don't understand the aliasing.. so if the MXI shows it at 100%, it's maxwell.. and not photoshop or anything.

I'm just guessing, but if you rendered it in "Draft" mode, that might explain the aliasing. I'm not really sure that draft mode has lower antialias settings.

You can't render in Draft Mode and use Multilight and Simulens, right? Because i'm pretty sure i didn't use Draft mode
