The Magic Of Christmas (short animation)

It may be a bit early, but Christmas will be here before we know it! Having never done a render for Christmas before, here is my offering for 2010. It was all designed with animation purposes in mind, just to try something different. The piece was modelled in SolidWorks and Rhino, then rendered in Maxwell. Both the people and the backdrop (which is a little bit low-res, sadly) are photos but everything else is geometry.

Please view the video at the following link (I recommend 720p!): The Magic Of Christmas [Youtube]. [Vimeo]

For those not able to see Youtube videos - or don't feel like loading it up - here's a screengrab from the animation itself, with the full-res image linked below.

Any comments would be great, and Merry Christmas to everyone. :)

Good job!

My only complaint is that the credits are longer than the actual animation.

Thanks, guys. :)

Bubbaloo, I know what you mean. This is also being built as an e-mailer to be sent out to our existing clients. We found from feedback they're generally interested in what programs are used and what goes into making it as well as just seeing a final result. We hoped to include some of those details by adding the credits. Plus it fills out the music some. ;)
