Hi Maxwell Community!

Here is a job I did for Fiction Films in Munich.

Postwork involved, especially the sky and mountains. Machine and background were rendered seperately for flexibility. I used two different lighting setups for the machine (studio and sun similar to the background). The grass was done using geometry, Cinema 4D´s Mograph cloning and Thin SSS.

Good job!

What was the message on the ad?
How long was the render?
Why is caustic on the floor not on the same place on the single and double page?

Thanks!

I´m not sure if it was every made a puplic ad - probably used more like a portfolio image. The drawer opening for the new iDos system was a important part.

I don´t have the original mxi files anymore (only setups to recreate the mxs), but it took some days to render all layers.

The "caustic" on the floor is actually a lens flare post effect. Since the relative sun position changes, you see the lensflare on different spots. With a typical Siemens brand applied, the empty spaces on the lower right would be mostly covered, btw.

Really nice clean image and cool technique with the grass. Good work. :) Would liked to have seen the advert with all the text/branding on too.
