Hi,

this is my first Maxwell render for the gallery using the Cinema 4D plugin (V. 0.1). Small color correction in PS and Neatimage used:

Render time doesn't matter because it took the whole weekend ;-)

good work, you use 2 planes emitter, only?

very nice... but did it render over the whole week-end at that size, and you still had to use Neatimage...?

anyway, very cool inspiration...

Pretty nicely done! :) but that extreme rendertime is.. too long to be honest. However it's nicely framed within the columns, i like that idea.

@haiti: there are two large emitters on the left and two on the right and three small spot lights above the paintings

@Hervé: rendering size was 1280x1024 and there was still a bit of noise, as far as I understand there is much more noise if there is only indirect light or the light is hitting the ground/wall in an acute angle...!? And maybe the quality of the textures contribute to a higher noise level. Also this was my first large render so with a bit more knowledge the quality could be improved - I hope...

1280*1024... okeyyy, I understand... well you're right about indirect lighting, I thought about putting hided emitters inside as well to help the render engine a bit , but then it looks ... fake... or cheated... and the whole purpose of Maxwell is to get unbiaised renders...

I am just waiting the beta to see if it is better...

@all: thanks for your kind words

@tonfarben: If the plugin was better I had used a lot more materials. Hopefully we get the next Cinemaxwell update together with the Beta....
