Hey, Aaron, looks pretty good. I think it needs some levels / curves adjustment. Lighting looks a little flat right now. Also, as you mentioned the asphalt is tiling pretty badly. Even adding some stains and tire marks in post would really help. Did you use hdri for reflections? It might be contributing to the dull lighting.

Very nice image but very flat.... so flat that it doesn't look maxwell. Also, you probably need to scale down the ground texture... I

If you have any Lambert textures, convert all of them to roughness 90 and re-render. You'll get back a ton of surface shading quality, which is utterly missing right now.

Thanks for the feed back...

I was just commissioned to do the third building on the site. So I'll will make the necessary fixes to the overall rendering as well. Hopefully it will come out looking better this time around.

I like the 3d people better than most of the photoshopped 2d people.

Your water looks a little too rough. Maybe tone down the waves?

The wide-angle render is great, no complaints!

What the last render needs is Motion-blur! The people and cars need to blur as they move around the showroom. These renders feel kinda dead and static, but I'm sure the client wants to see a place thats alive, and dynamic! You've seen those types of renders for malls I'm sure!

I agree about the water being too rough, and add that it's also too blue. Water that shallow is only half as blue (roughly) as the sky reflected in it. Its kinda distracting, and tends to overwhelm the rest of the image.

The last image is very flat in contrast. Did you use simulens? Maybe raising the burn-factor of the MXI? Change the direction of the sunlight for more dramatic lighting? Or maybe its just the materials that need a bit more variation in terms of reflection and dirty-ness/imperfections.

I realize you are strapped for time with these renders, but those are some things you could have changed to drastically improve the last image which I think need the most attention.

I still think you can get more of your images with a simple touch of postwork ...

Hi Guys,

Yes I was extremely pressed for time, as always. I would like to be able to play around with different styles but I usually only have time to get it to the client when it comes back from the render farm.

I think the water is too rough as well but the client thinks it is perfect. The water has jets in it to simulate rough water. So that's how came up with that. Same thing goes for the color. I rendered a less blue more clear water and they did not like it.

I guess I need to figure out how to make these less flat since I get that comment a lot. They wanted tree shadow on the low pool wall so the sun is set up for that.

Iker, What steps are you doing in Photoshop to achieve you end result. I'd like to play around with it a bit.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Aaron

Here are a some updates. The pool design was changed so I had to re-render.

It looks like the jet ski is driving, why would that be the case? :P

Hi Adrian,

Yes. They are going to put jets under the water in front of it so it can show some "action" as they put it.
