My old desktop was getting kinda booring, so, I renderd this to be my new one, also, was a good chance to do some dispersion rendering.

1600x900px, 17 levels reached in about 9h. Some parts are still noisy, but without dispersion, the whole picture was dead.

This was ment to be a calm wallpaper, so, its quite meaningless. :)

Yea i agree this time with everyone else, it's just super pretty glass and it looks good. Nothing i wanna complain about on your rendering :)
Good job!

...dont wanted to start another thread just for one wip pic, so, C&C is really welcome on this one.
Another glass thing, will be part of a set made of "redesigned" lab equipment, to be some sotr of modern decoration. Can be filled up with pretty colored liquids, with correct IOR settings, of course.

This was the first time I used NURBS, couse with subd Ive failed to model the spherical insets on the big sphere correctly. So tell me, is the glass geometry looking real eneugh? There are duplacated reflections of the illuminators, is this correct? I mean, having them reflect on both sides of the glass? The bottle is now converted to mesh, and, i think all seams welded, all normals checked, and there are no duplacated polygons. Still, it looks strange to me.

Pretty good again but I'm not sure about twin reflections also. I had the same problem before :(

Thanks. :) Now Im up to fill it up with some fluid. :) The hardest part is yet to come..

Ive done some test bout that double refletion, this image shows a real simple setup, 2 spheres (MAX default prim.) inside each other, bottom is thicker, other than that, its just 2 spheres. Inside one with flipped normals. (The cutaway shows where the normals are pointing...)

So, according to maxwell, this is correct, and the big jar mesh above is correct. However, it looks strange.
