I'm a recent addition to the maxwell family and I like the simplicity of it. Very easy to use. The fact that I don't have to spend endless amount of time with light/material setup, gamma settings, linear workflow... argghh... that stuff was killing me. Now just press a button and... I wish I had 16 cores. Maybe some day.

Anyhow, this is my first maxwell render. Rather simple. Modeled in Rhino. Render one hour fifteen.

That's pretty nice :) Did you try adding glare to the image?

Nice design Leslie. If i may say, I find the blue bottom glow (the darker blue) hurts your image, i can't quite make out what i'm seeing there and that gives it a CG appeal.

Very Nice Les. Welcome to the family!

I agree with Adrian's comment about the glow, it gives it a CG look that I bet goes away if the glow is toned down a bit. Otherwise, very nice design.

I wish they made a "glow" wacom tablet... I guess they do, it is called Cintiq. Must save for one of those.

Cheers,

Looking good. I agree on the flare, but otherwise well done.

Very nice, ..... I don't mind the glow as much as I think the overall material looks 'too soft'. Maybe a varied material just on the buttons/ scroll wheel(smoother) would be enough.
