Generally, they are both very nice pictures!
First one is better, but I have to say that there is something wrong with the plants in both images... Can't describe it, maybe the color or the lighting, or... they don't look real. What did you use for your plants?

Overall nice!
But I think the cars and the road, reduce the photorealism.
I really like the top part

Trees are my biggest problem in every render that I do. I'm not sure of the best way to achieve good results.
The trees in this rendering are some low poly 3D trees with alot of PS work to fill them in.
What do you guys usualy do? Clipmaps? or 3D trees? Can anyone point me to some good clipmaps that I can purchase?
Thanks in advance

I think dosch3d, ambientlight, imagecells, etc are some of the sites you can visit (for the exact link, try google).
Also you might want to have a look at Onyx or Xfrog for modeled trees.
Modeled trees are much better for closeups but as you can imagine,it will be a problem if you want to show a forest around the house.

it seems your biggest problem are:
- your roof shingles texture
- your road texture
- the blue car
- your trees.
Take a look at my gallery for a reference in xfrog/vue5 imported trees (nothing impressive, but you'll get an idea...)
