Yeah cool there adl!... These are what we call "Dental Implants"
I'm also helping one of my dentist friend about his master thesis.
Thank you for reminding this.... I modeled and ITI® one and
I also competed MRI to 3D convert of a mandibula for placement.
Now, I'm planning to make some renders for them :)

The ssecond one is all right but I'm not sure about the first one.
Because the body of implants must be acid etched like in second one.
Shiny parts remain out of bone... they are hygienic parts :)
Grey dull parts are rough surfaces which cements to bone after treatment.

Good renders anyway...

Thanks Tom,
in the next image i'm rendering the single part of this implant
to make another illustration in photoshop then i will insert this dental implants
in bone and teeth modelled entirerly in 3D as you can see from this 3D
preview...

You are right for first image, is only a metallic test for the definitive
pic and to experiment with metal surface in controlled situation (a
sort of mini photographic studio, whith a room and a window to have fast
ambiental variables under control...).

if she looks like a vampire , ... then I'll open a freak house... and I'll make money... he he...

You'd have to pay me to do that... but it does not seam to bother her...

the gum should look even better when we get SSS...
