Well, this started out with me playing with my new Photoshop plugin (imageSynth), creating large, non-repeating textures. As usual, things got out of hand and I ended up with this. Started out with the wall. Of course I needed some sort of ground. Then I started adding the grass, moss in the cracks, and some leaf rubble. Of course, there was no point in stopping there. So, I added the bench, then the cat and bird. Threw in the girl for good measure, and logically had to add in the planter and window to balance things out.... And to top it all off, I splashed some green paint on the wall, since there is no such thing as a perfect paint job....

Spent a lot of time just playing with the textures (the wall has seven BSDF layers itself).

Anyway, hope you like!

Would you recommend ImageSynth then? The output certainly looks good here.

Ummm k. if this is the stuff you come up with when things 'go out of hand' then I hope you one day completely loose your mind :D should make for some interesting renders.

If I could crit anything I'd say maybe the bump in the ground texture could stand to be a little bit more pronounced. Right now it feels a little flat and the texture seems to imply a great level of uneveness.

cook it longer too :P

great stuff Michael!

Looks really nice, as always. I like the uneveness of the floor from cars driving and pushing the pavers to the side after so many years of use. The only thing i might do different is to try some motion blur on the bird's wings, just a bit since its coming down. and may be some aging cracks on the wall
Keep it up
