Hello everybody,

I just entered the 3D world 3 weeks ago, and I can't stop playing...
Here is my first work, done with Sketchup + Maxwell Studio 1.1.
I know that the sofa turned out a bit cubic  ...but i'm pretty happy with the result...

Well, Yes
But, I want to make it clear, i didn't model all of the items in the scene.
for example, the trees and flowers I bought and i just textured them in maxwell studio.

The main work for me was modeling the room, windows, putting/editing the items in the scene, and in maxwell - materials and lighting..

I had to make myself more clear...it's not a phonemon

Thank you very much for you comments.

Well, about my workflow:
I modeled the room in SU, which took me few hours, but I guess if you compare SU to other modelling programs its an easy task.
afterwards, I started to put the furniture in the room, I used already made-up furnitures and plants, and if i had to edit them, i did so (in SU)..
but i didnt touch the materials in SU...but what I did is i gave different colors to each element in the scene so when I went to Maxwell Studio each element was in a different group so I could texture it indipendetly

when I was happy with the setup of the room I went to Maxwell Studio.
There I started to put materials...
After the materials I put the lights, there are 7 emitters, all of them are spotlights the you get with the maxwell studio... 6 lights can be seen in the scene and the last one i set to high voltege to light the whole scene from in the house...
and then I rendered...for around 16 hours on a Athlon 4200+ X2 machine.
i rendered with ML so I could make a night scene...

In the last photo, I used photoshop. I worked with 3 Layers:
1. The rendered picture desatruated to grayscale.
2. a printscreen from Maxwell Studio where the viewport set to Wireframe.
3. same as 2 but set to Hidden Lines.

and then I just played with the opacity of the layers (in photoshop) untill I got the result I wanted...

sheesh that was long
