Been working on this image for fun over the last couple of months. Mainly it was to learn Maxwell, and to test Realflow 4. A few of the materials were downloaded from the library, but most were from scratch. It's titled "A Typical Day", and I'm sure there's someone out there who can relate to the concept  Comments welcome.

Those look really great. A couple little things- the numbers on the outer bezel that are in the shadow look a little strange (I think it's because the brushing is horizontal rather than circumferential), and the face seems a tad rough.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have some designs I'd love to get critiques on in the future, but I can't post them right now due to marketing issues. I'm a definite convert to Maxwell after using Mental Ray for the last 4 years though. Just loving it!!

superbad, check your PM. You're spot on with the critiques of the bezel. I'm still learning how to set up the "projectors" correctly, so I have to mess with it some more.

I dunno which is the "old" image, but the current ones look fantastic! I like the glow FX on the first one.

I would check the materials on the rolex (the numbers in the shadow pic#2... it looks weird). Other than that is extreamly good
