Maybe not the best quality but at least finished in Maxwell. From an old lost topic. C&C needed, more than accepted!
SL 14 3000x2400, cropped to 3200x1500 and downsized to half. Color balancing, compositing and integration of 2D elements in the foreground in Photoshop
Power Mac G4 dual 1,25, 1,75 GB RAM.

hi mattia,
this is one of the best exteriors i've ever seen
for my taste, lighting is superb (i love the bluish cast on the left, yeah)
the one and only thing that bothers me (just a bit) is the background pic, i find it a little off but maybe i'm just wrong...
congrats!
PS: mattia, sei a firenze in questi giorni?

Thanx a lot for your comment, andretto. Yes, i agree with you about the background pic, but since i had no footage pics i had to pick one from my storage.
PS: certo che si...un po' incasinato ma ci sono. Magari stavolta questo caffè maxwelliano riusciamo a bercelo!

Great image!
I don't find the background image too bad.
What is the Envronment and camera set up?
I have never managed to control the light as well as this.

I agree that this is a good one! crisp sharp and clear rendering, nicely composited and well lit. The background is not really disturbing, i see no problems with it.
Good job Mattia

Very happy and proud you liked it!
@d7mfc: environment is phisycal sky, day 100 hour 16,85 (to keep sun pretty low and to give a warm tone to sunlight); 3,5 turbidity, 3,0 Ozone, 2,5 Water. Camera was set to 100ISO, 80sp, 12f-stop, burn 8.5, gamma 2.75. Hope this helps

to me it looks kinda perfect... the problem is that after maxwell we are definitely too much hypercritical...

Yep, looks great. If we have to get hypercritical here I'd say the trees could use a bit of improvement, but hey...

Well done Mattia, especially with that slow Mac (patience is a virtue, isn't it ?).
I would just crop more of the street and add more sky instead, so that the building with street has two thirds of the picture. Maybe some stuff on the balcony ??

Thanx again for positive feedbacks!
@ingo: aaaabsolutely. (you are right about framing, the pic for the client is higher)
@aitraaz: i agree completely, still haven't found a decent setting for the leaves, and the model is a bit rough and out of scale (what about 30cm sized leaves?)
And OOOPS! Those textures' mapping would need a little more care...

Thanks for the reply. I will try those settings on my latest job!
