That's beautiful. Looks like pastel on a rough textured paper. Your work really opens my eyes to the possibilities of this software.

This is really, really good. Gallery worthy.

Thanks everyone! Much appreciated.

raja - The fog is a technique I came up with that uses several planes with 1 cm thickness, that have a dielectric material with an Nd of 1, and a roughness (sorta like foggy glass). We used to have a volume fog setting way back in Alpha, but it has been deactivated since Beta came out. Don't know if NL will eventually put it back in or not.

superbad - believe it or not, the 'textured paper' look is the results of a low SL noise artifact. The post work that I did brought this out - which is one of the reasons I like it just like this.

Thanks again everyone for your kind comments. I have one more "fog" image cooking right now. After that's done, I really have to break down my systems in preparation for my move. I know I've said that before, but now I really, really need to get off my butt and start getting packed.

I keep coming back to this thread. I love this image. I'm starting to like the original one better than the PS version I think. I'd be interested in buying a print of this if one were available. PM me if you're interested.

the postprocessed image is definitely vibrant, it seems to me somewhat as a nordic goya...
