Zoiks!
Excellent detailing. Only thing I'd recommend would be some more work on the towels. Otherwise - Yow!

Fancy place to do your "business".
(Nice render. Makes me wonder when MR stuff is going to start showing up in Arch Digest a
photos.)

The only thing that looks off to me is the cabinet doors. Is that a flat texture map? That should be modelled for more realisim. Everything else looks very nice. Would be interesting to see multilight variations on this one.

Hi Eric:
The doors are real geometry, but they are glazed so they may appear as if mapped.....
Thanks for the comments.......

Great work on the glazing- that's something I need to figure out, as we use it a lot. Any tips or tricks, or do I just have to suck it up and do it the hard way?

I have tried different techniques to achieve the glazing using procedurals with no luck. Unfortunately, I have to hand paint each one in Photoshop. In a kitchen, this task can take a whole day.....

Pretty stuff Kevin.

You can render out just the alpha and comp in a background in a photo editor like Photoshop.

Thanks Fran! I'll give it a try! Is your bathroom remodel complete?
Kevin
BTW - The post alpha trick won't help me when it comes to the reflections in the glass shower enclosure, right? Is the only other alternate to map an HDRI to a sphere?

We painted the walls and installed the shelving and have it filled with lots of stuff. We ended up not going with a built-in type of cabinet/lighting and opted for a pair of sconces that need to be installed.
The paint selection was, how shall I say it - unfortunate. I have a much better color and grade of paint ready and waiting. And waiting.
Anyway, it's been a huge improvement.

Wouldn't it be better to set the lights at another temperature? So you get more white light coming from them, as if you had used film for incandescent light. Because now the materials are also mostly brown/yellow and with the lights being the same hue, it looks a bit over saturated and monotone.
