A tribute to one of my biggest art heroes: Lorenzo Mattotti, as well as my first attempt to use Maxwell's physical sky + sun.
Cheers!

Very nice Metin! It has a very "painterly" feeling to it. Do those cloth objects have an animated sim on them? Would be really cool to see this scene in motion.

It has a nice calm, serene mood about it and also brings back some memories of mine.
One thing to ask: The sky looks brighter through the center openning (and to the left) but the columns have shadows as if the light was coming right. Is this by design ?

Thanks Joel, Thomas and Tom!
Thomas, the sky seeming more reddish at the left is a genuine case of visual illusion. The camera is tilted a little, so the reddish area is a bit higher at the left side, where most of the blue part is taken away by the building.
Cheers!

The progressive darkness may be a sign of the Tone Mapping changing parameters throughout the new realeases. This image may not be so dark if ya just go in and nudge the Contrast tone mapping slider. Although in new releases its called Burn i think. It may be as simple as playingwith the Film gamma and contast settings in tone mapping to get a hotter image.
Great render,
Would like to see maybe more material on the curtains(canvas threading), and maybe a bump or geometry dispersed grass in the background to break the green up some. For that distance a Bump may work well enough.
Cheers

Thanks for your comments guys! I have deliberately kept it plain, simple and stylized. Furthermore I increased the dark versus light contrast with Photoshop afterwards, to add some twilight mood. The original render is lighter and has less contrast. So no blame to NL as far as I'm concerned. Don't know about your results with the 1.1.30 physical sky + sun though.
Cheers!
