just another RC5 Render...

Just playing with a model that I created a few years ago. The render looked pretty clean after 3 hours - full size was 1600 x 1200. I let it render overnight to see if it would make a big difference - it didn't. If I get a chance I will try it again with some bump maps to dirty it up a bit - it's too clean now...

Yes, I remember the previous result very well. It still looks very good.

Greg-
This is a great render. The model is very fine too.
I love the blob of weld at the top inside the channel.
Nice detail. Makes for a superb final image.
Keep up the good work.

I loveb the balance of contrasting blues and yellows in your lighting. Are you using one blue and one yellow immiter? ID love to know more. Nice model also.

Thanks everyone!
iker - the lighting is pretty much a standard studio setup (there are samples posted on the forum) - but using colored emitters.
Steve - good eye noticing the weld
Nico - thanks, that comment sounds familiar
I still want to do a slightly dinged up version. It is cool to render a product that looks like it has been retouched but I've done a lot of product retouching over the years and I'm bored with the "perfect" look - even though that is how most client's want the products to look.
