nice lighting and carpet you got there, but yes, you have to tweak a bit on the leather material. if you´ve got some good settings, please let me know.
i got the same problem. someone in my gallery said it looks like a kiwi...

but besides that, cool image, and fast rendering. on what machine did you render ?

thank you arch4d

i'm trying to do everything through the max-plugin. so it's somewhat
difficult to do mats (i know, i should do them in studio).
i let it render on a AMD X2 4400+ with 2GB.
it was already noisefree after aprx. 11h.

i know what you mean, i would rather render directly out of cinema than reapplying everything in studio...

i think the bump value is too high, plus too much reflection on the leather.
beside that, very nice

You have much too high bump settings. That could also make the render take longer time.

thanks for the tips

i lowered the bump on the carpet, but it seems
that i used an inverted bump-map. so i'll let it render again.

 gorgeous, this is a photo... hat off!

I've noticed a strange artifact on the ground's texture, this is due to noise reduction? Maybe it's my screen...

thanks guys

jdp, i think this comes from PP in photoshop.
i did some color/contrast things, 'cos i had some slightly wrong
camera settings.
btw. i never would use a noise reduction tool, as the pic would loose
quite a bit of details (i.e. bump on carpet/leather).
instead i give M~R enough time to render...

wish you a nice sunday.
