My first 2 Maxwell tests

Hi everybody :)

I'm new to this forum and i thought i'd post my two very first test renderings with Maxwell, it's a very sweet and promising renderer. So far i like it even tho i'm on one of the slowest computers on this planet :/

These renderings use a premade model which has a polycount of about 500,000 polygons. I skipped the textures to speed up the renderings a bit more :) but overall to be a first test i'd have to say i'm quite happy with the results.

The first pic uses Sky Dome, and the second pic uses a Physical Sky to provide light to the scene.

Ps.. heh, i just hope the links to the pics work now. I'm not sure i did this right :/

:) thanx for the critics, however as i said in the post it's a premade model, it's from Renderosity so i haven't modeled this one. But it's very well made tho. Credits for the model should go to the one who made it, too bad i can't remember his/her name now :(
I used it as it was highly detailed and with fine small details which works well with Maxwell to see it's power :)

Hi again!

Now since i posted these renderings i got alot of requests lately about this model, i been trying to locate it on Renderosity but it's simply not there. I suspect they stopped selling it, and i think it's safe to give out for free now if you guys and girls remember to credit the creator of the model in your renderings :)
(btw.. i bet it stings in the eyes of those who dislikes Poser that this model originates from there hehehe) ;)

Anyways now i babbled enough. Here's the model for you all to download, it's 23mb and all textures are included.

Oo.. yay they look much better when they're wearing textures :) it kinda brings the models back to life again if i say so.
Nice renderings there man!
How long did it take to render them for you and on what system ?

thanks for replys max

i have a total three Computer system.

but i don't render with net.

because i don't feel a bit difference ,which is rendering time and qulity, between single and one more system.

so i rendered with one.

the spec is Intel 3.0ghz @3.4ghzC. 2Ghz ram

and i set render time to 40 min, when maybe sampling level reached 14.

i hope this help you.
