Hi, nice images.

Is the grass displaced from Maxwell or is it modelled?

people think that vray sees maxwell as a threat
Not everyone cares what the vray guys are doing, not everyone is using 3dsmax to make their cg, I think its exciting to see a renderer thats going to be able to be used by such a wide variety of applications (well scenes can be exported, you know what I mean :P ) Its a break to see a company get away from the win32 only releases and support some other OS's, maxwell is still alpha so speed is onl going to get better and it seems rediculous to be comparing a productoin ready renderer to an alpha release.I really just like it because its pretty easy use, mental ray in maya is nice but it can be damned slow and is just plain painful to use, I have never used vray can lighting be a pain to setup or is the big red render button relatively painless for a good result? They were going to release a version for maya werent they?
