Hi folks
Heres an update to my SLR wip. Still alot of work to do to finish it up (modelling tweeks (headlights etc)) but I'm enjoying playing with MR studio, the carpaint shader is very nice and the workflow from max is a piece of cake.

I should have some further updates in a couple of days

Very nice!
As you see there's no carpaint shader, you have unlimited ways of doing carpaints etc.

Thanks for the great comments.

I'll definately post some more shots when I'm done tweeking. I'm very fussy about my models so that could take a while :)

Stay tuned for more updates.

Cheers.
Nick.

wow great render. I try to render some cars from c4d, without the studio but the carpaint shader will not work with the c4d plugin.

I will post later some testrenderings in another thread.

Wow, the paint work is spot on, but the wheel material needs some work.

Very nice model.

A lot in the image is looking better than a photo'. How do those attractive wheels stay on without nuts or bolts :?: Look forward to seeing the next update.

Everything looks so real on the car except the rims and tire material. For some reason something just doesnt look right with the rims. The highlights look too soft maybe. Overall though it looks awesome!

The paint and body are true to life - great !

I have to agree with Eric Lagman, that my eye went right to the wheel though, becasue it was off a bit. Especially the disk brake - it is almost white and the cross drilled holes look off in perspective? But the rim metal and tire materials need a little tweaking.

Please could you share your material settings for the car paint?

Thankyou,

Tim.
