Thank you, Tom. Much appreciated. :)

The gallery has been updated with a new video animation and accompanying render. I'm sorry if it comes across a bit advertising-y (especially the animation), but this is a fictitious product we created to advertise the benefits of CGI over photography. Everything was created in-house from modelling, graphics, animation and video production. The renders all came directely from Maxwell -- took quite a bit of time in some cases but was absolutely worth it.

Please check it out if you have time, and let me know what you think. Thanks!

The updates can be found on the first page, but here they are if you came here first:

That's a very strange reflection in the last picture. I have the feeling the glass is perpendicular to the wall behind the radio (cannot be detected anywhere - maybe give it a frame) yet the lady must be hiding behind the wall to be reflected at all....

otherwise - the books look too flat for such a detailed view and as said before the window needs some better framing and maybe a handle to show the orientation.

great placement and detail on the important part, but the rest of the picture doesn't show the same detail / high standard.

Thanks, Brian! This is one of the first feature videos I've done and I was really happy with the result. First time using After Effects too, for the text.

Thanks for the useful tips, Macray. Definitely lots of points to think about when next composing a scene. As soon as you said it, I could see what you mean about the reflection. I think because the render was only going to be used briefly for the magazine section of the video (this actually goes for the majority of still renders shown - they were definitely prepped for animation purposes), the same level of detail as shown on the product wasn't given to the environment, but that's no excuse to leave stuff out. I'd like to revisit that render some time and put a lot more time into it. Will post results if that happens!
