-Scene set up with older plug-in(prior to first 1.7) will not render correctly with updated plug-in, seems to be physical sky...

Workaround: Put everything in a model and export and re import, although this will kill your visibility layers...

-Exported material libs will loose all texture application references so youll have no idea how textures are being applied...

-Displacement from flat surface(ie grass) gets messed up, might be polygon direction...

-objects with clusters with materials applied to them will mess up when using sub-d levels, a reference problem.

Workaround: use local subdivision.

Since the sky has changed a lot between versions mayb it's just the physical sky settings that need to be adjusted?

Which references exactly? Tiling etc?

Could you post an example of this? If you have a simple XSI scene it would be great.

Confirmed.

There is a limitation in the XSI SDK which causes the sky settings to be invalid when loading a 1.6 scene in 1.7. Unfortunately the only workaround is the one you mentioned.

I don't know if we can do anything about that. It seems to be related to how the SDK exposes clusters to the plug-in, but I'll look for a fix in the code.
Will there be a Maxwell Render 6 ?
