I'm on a single-proc (p4 2.2gHz) Dell, and during the export of the .mxi for an animation, if you select anything in the interface, or outside maya, the Script Editor and the export dialog box freeze like it's crashed. In truth, the files are still being written successfully, but the interface has frozen.

Not a Maxwell problem, I think this is just a maya Processing issue.

Do you also suffer from the "WHITE SCREEN RENDER FREEZE"

my suspison is that this will solve your maxwell export, as this helped me
with all FREEZE issues in maya. As I am writing now I am exporting 200 frames, and I can see the progress of each mxi with this WINDOWS fix.

OK, so its easy to all that want to know,

1) close maya
2) RIGHT CLICK your MAYA 6.5 (6.0) icon you launch maya with, select PROPERTIES.
3)click theCOMPATABILITY tab
4)check box under Compatibility mode, RUN PROGRAM As WINDOWS 2000
5)OK and reLaunch maya!

your Ready to RENDER!
8)
