hmm, no your right.

I get that problem all the Time, which sux, cuz i Test my shaders my animating values at SET frames, then I do a Rendero of 20 frames with my vlaues changing at each fram so i Animat roughness from 0 to 1 over 20 frames, Yet, it misses some frames, so the fram 10 fo uv roughness of ..5 is skipped

its nice to animate your shaders and goto lunch come back and see what settings effect the colors, for me its faster than changing a value, hitting render waiting , watching, changing it by another .5 or so and render, wait, watch.. so on.

So I hope we figure out whats up with this soon.
Yet I'm not sure how much of theis is maxwell , my guess its something with the mayall and the fact it likes cm and 24fps...

YET ITS FRIDAY!!!!!! and a NEW MAXWELL AND NEW MAYALL OUT TODAY!!!

SWEEEEEET,,, im gonna render all over this 4th long weekend NOW!!!

ya, ive only had good results at 24fps, yet sometimes i goet that same frame slip or offset even at 24fps,, yet ive found that I now prefre 24fps in playbak, looks better than 30 fps (grittier not as smooth) and you get to save decent time not having to render 6 frames extra for every second, i domnt miss these 6 frames at playback and im loving saving that time to get a second rendered quicker, so its been a nice adaption.

yes, mayall only supports 24 fps :?

and another trick :
in the expression of maya camera's horiz and vertic aperture replace :
"cameraShape1.horizontalFilmAperture = MXCamera1.filmWidth * 0.039"
with
"cameraShape1.horizontalFilmAperture = MXCamera1.filmWidth * 0.03937"

so your open GL view match exactly with your Maxwell render view !
(if you want to blend two sorts of render in 2D compositing !)
8)

because 1/25.4 = 0.0393700 (to convert mm in inch)
