-Mayall Error

im getting these message quite a lot recently

-Mayall Error:
-Message: Error creating Maxwell material

-Mayall Error:
-Message: Error creating polygon mesh

here is an example scene file if anyone has any clues as to why it is happening

It happens to me with a poly scene that I made in maya 2.0.
Maybe a bad imported object? ¿?

so i played a little and found that exporting the mouse as an obj then importing it back in cured the disease . . . .


however the trick is to restart with a clean maya file then import, as the maya file is corrupt . . . .


you can find the obj exporter in the plugin manager . . .

it was originally an FBX export from Cinema 4D

Exporting from maya as obj and re-importing didnt seem to work, however when i exported as obj then opened in Silo and re-exported as obj that seemed to do the trick :)

Hi !

You have to assing new UV sets to your poly meshes.
By some reason the export as mxs takes bit longer, but it works.

yeah, just make a new diffuse node and assign all the mesh to it, then it will work. Its bad if youre alredy textured a hole scene, but its the easy way :D Else you can try to fine the mesh that have the wrong uv set to it :)

If im understand you right Ive already reportet that as a bug.
