After i downloaded the newest mayall version (1.0.16) i try to install it, and i get an error stating;

Error opening file for writing:

C:\Program Files\Alias\Maya8.0\bin\plug-ins\maxwell.mll

any idea whats going on?

Hey keithg.

What version of Maya are you running? It says 7 at the bottom of your post, but Maya is looking for version 8. You might have accidentally installed the wrong version.

im running on 8 now, i just upgraded...
i just havent changed my info here

Make sure you don't have a Maya running instance when installing the new plug-in.
