MAYA MAXWELL • THE FRUSTRATION NEVER ENDS!

I can't believe what I see/read.
A new plugin for Ketchup ?!?!
What the f**k is Sketchup how many users have it / use it for professional work ?
... now its getting ridiculous!
I mean the MAYA-Community is waiting for a usable plugin since july 2006 ..
We paid for a product we cannot use for now.
All those cheap exotics like SktechUp and ArchiCad are updated frequently.
Dudes, we (my company) are really angry!
The buglist of the maya 7 plugin is longer than the source code.
Not to mention what will be with a Maya 8 plugin. I think this will come when MAYA 9 ships. Give us the source-code and we will write those some lines of C++ code ourself.
Please think of the awareness level.
Maya / Max / XSI are the flagships in hi-end 3d the rest is worthless to mention.
I think you will release a Bryce 6 and a CorelRayDreamDesigner plugin before we get our long awaited Maya 8 plugin ...

I am hopeless for now and we'll switch to another renderer.

Regards

Jerry

Hello,

Maya plugin v1.2 for 6,7,8 versions will be really further enhanced in all the areas, the list of new features and improvements is really amazing and soon you will see that. We have put a lot of resources in this plugin the latest months.

Kind regards,

Juan

Wrong and very unsympathatic statements. The screen which displays this message was designed with none of the 3D programs you just mentioned.
But by better chance with other plugin supported software (with hundreds of thousands registered users btw.) . Why can't you express your impatitience without trying to disqualify other software-products? We are all interested in better plugins.

Glad to hear the plugin is going to arrive but the question is when? Is it likely to be in the next few days or next few weeks? Not hassling just wondering.. :D My b-day is the 6th December maybe we could have it for them

Cheers

Juan - this is great news.

(I should mention that I'm getting along just fine with the current plugin - I just have to work around the current limitations.)

Also really looking forward to a version of maxwell that will use 64bit memory addressing. (hint)
