Hi.

1: In maya, create a MXMxm-material and simply set the path to your .mxm-file created and saved from the MXED.

2: Create all your materials in MXED.

Creat a New Mxm and check it out in attribute editor, click on Edit MXM and then export it or save it. Then you just link it to the file
