Thanks again, I got your email through
That error suggests that the script isn't in your default scripts directory (confusingly, Maya creates 2 script directories automatically when you install Maya, with only one of them being used by the program itself.) To find your default directory :
1) Open Maya, and bring up the script editor (button at bottom right of screen.)
2) Paste the following code into the bottom box
This should display your default script directory in the top box. If you copy the DMSS_mainFile.mel to that directory, and let me know what happens.
And I could not be happier about the 1.5 news
A whole bunch of stuff that I've really been hoping for (linux mainly - very render node friendly

3) Go to Script>Execute, or hit Ctrl-Enter.string $check = `internalVar -usd`;
