Stupid question, but where in the Leopard Spot Fur texture in the gallery are the spots themselves?

I can see the texture map has been supplied. And when I render I even get the spots.

I just can't seem to find the texture, and understand to what it is connected, when I open the texture in the editor. What parameter of what layer is it modulating?

I can see the black and white speckles that drive displacement and make the fur, but the other texture - the one that controls the color - what is it actually connected to?

This might be a pretty old material, for some reason the BSDF is turned into an SSS component. If you right click it>Turn to BSDF you will see where the color map is connected (to the refl0 color).

Perfect, thanks.

I am still finding my way around the non-Maya plugin Maxwell software.

The Maya plugin was becoming unusable for me due to GUI speed and insufficient RAM, or something,

so I've been migrating to the Maxwell standalones with much better success.
