Tree leaves problem

Hi,
I have sss tree leaves and i cant see direct light from emmiters behind invisible part of leaf polygon. Leaf thickness is 2 mm, it is not only single plane. How to make all light visibe :-) Thank You.

It's a problem with SSS, intersecting geometry, and clipped planes. I would say use single plane clipped planes and remove the SSS. :(

I agree, sss for trees requires special conditions. There are other ways to achieve good results.

I see in Your gallery images with trees using sss, or is it faked?

Yes, I've used it before, but in some tests, I have gotten that same problem as you show, and I haven't found any way to avoid it. So it makes the technique unreliable, and I am hesitant about recommending it now, especially for someone's commercial projects. I just got lucky for the times I have used it.

Well you didn't tell us that before! I've started making plants with thickness! I just wish NL would make another announcement and this one be they are including single sheet SSS in V2.
