Hey everyone!

I see you already spotted the new MXM contest (late post, sorry!), I'm glad to see you are excited about it.

Here the full details:

"HISTORY IN THE MAKING"

We hope History used to be your favorite subject in school, because this time around we are looking for your best “ancient history” materials. The Stone Age, ancient Rome, Troy, the old Greece, ancient China, the Vikings, Persia, Maxwell’s Beta version (just kidding): anything that’s old, very old……

To participate, please submit your material before March 9, 2009 and make sure to tag it using the key words “competition history”. Only new, original materials will be considered. The winners of the competition will be announced shortly after. And of course, that brings us to the actual prize itself:

The complete Maxwell Render PowerPack system!
The system, put together especially for this competition, includes:

A Maxwell Render standard license
A Maxwell Render node license
A MaxwellBox >>> Characteristics:

- Asus KPL-AM G31 motherboard
- Micro Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
- 4 GB RAM Kingston
- 320 GB hard disk Maxtor SATA
- Video, audio, network, all incorporated in the motherboard
- Sizes: 428mm x 185mm x 395mm

We have only one Maxwell Render PowerPack available, so give this competition your best shot. We look forward to seeing your materials. Good luck!!!

Cheers!

cool, but 1 question ...

who would need another license or node ... I allready have 8, and so do a lot of other users here and I cant get rid of them ...

if there's contest for us why not make up prices that could be useful? (except the box)...

good luck to everyone participating

I'll take them off your hands for you...

If you don't like the prizes, you don't have to enter...

well the prices are really great and very expensive, you could at least use that render machine :)
I'd prefer smaller contests with smaller prices once in a while, or at least prices for the second and third winner (/loser)

I don't want to get rid of my licenses ;)

it was just a general question since the licenses dont have a core restriction anylonger ...

if you got that many cpu power to handle further licenses - good for you ;)

then I'm going to swoop in for my first SL25-render

Hi everyone,

There are many people in the MXM gallery who are demo users and who do not have a Maxwell Render license - so we're also thinking about them! I know many of you already have enough licenses, but this one actually comes with a box, so you'd be able to make great use of it. The idea is offering a complete "powerpack" to speed up renders.

Cheers,

Nicole

So Nicole, ..for those of use who really don't need a a new license -- why not make an exception and allow the user to sell it ? maybe ?
