Changing colour of ior file

Hi All- I would like to be able to render some coloured diamonds in my jewellery designs.
Is there a way to easily alter the colour of the diamond ior file without getting into loading spreadsheets of physical and gemmological properties?
Thanks

There is no easy way to change the ior file itself, but you could perhaps blend the ior with a dielectric bsdf, search on the net for ND and abbe data for the stones you are trying to render.

Hi Mihai- I know that the refractive index for diamond is 2.417 and the dispersion is 0.044. I do not know if the abbe number is the same as the dispersion value that I have for diamond.
Do you have a quick thought for how to blend a dielectric bsdf with the ior so that the ior values are dominant.
Thanks Mihai!

I don't know if anyone has any use for this but after a bit of research I found a wizard that can help calculate the abbe number. Interesting stuff albeit a bit dry

I am going to have at creating a coloured diamond using the index of refraction and the abbe and see what it looks like.
