hi

I'm trying to get a decent looking terrazzo.
I started with this one:
http://mxmgallery.maxwellrender.com/sea ... h=terrazzo

i succeded in removing repetetive its patterns, because at first I thought they might be causing the lack of realism. but even now, something's missing ...

any help on this one? (can't show more of the image for privacy reasons)
unfortunately I'm trying not to miss a deadline :(

greets, kami

..to me the update seems to have lost all reflectivity

if you are going for a geschliffener Terrazzo, i think getting the reflection right is the important thing...

..haven't had to create such terrazzo yet.. but for similar floors i often start by copying the textured layer, lowering roughness, increase nd, and then play with additive/normal blending (that kind of floor is very reflective under direct light) and the brightness/saturation of the textures in the copy layer.

hope you manage in time..

thanks for the hint polynurb.
I think I'll start my material tests with this terrazzo, once this job is done. ;)

another test. i decreased the reflection layer and its roughness value (compared to the first image - the second one was a mess)
this gives a clearer but less strong reflection. hope this'll do for now
