struggling with creating mxm

Hello:
I am trying to create a colored translucent panel (1/2" thick) that looks pretty saturated with color (outside during the daytime) and can be backlit at night and glow the same color.
So far, have not had very good results.
Best result so far:
Reflectance 0: 20 / 33 / 42
Reflectance 90: 255/255/255
Transmittance: 90/200/231
Attenuation: 2 cm
Roughness: 30
This look pretty good at day, could be more translucent and more color saturated. at night, it looks way too opaque.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary
