Hi everyone,

Our popular material download campaign is back!!!!!!
Upload one new material to the MXM gallery and receive thousands of free materials directly to your computer!
Please note that the rules of this campaign have changed slightly. Because we now have 2700 materials available in the MXM gallery, we have resolved to let you download them in parts instead of all at once. The materials have been divided into categories (according to keywords), and you can choose which categories you'd like to download! All you have to do is upload one new material to the category of interest!! That way, downloading will go smoother, and you won't receive a gigantic file with thousands of materials you won't use.

Check out http://mxmgallery.maxwellrender.com for further details.

Thanks!!

Nicole

Nicole,
Why the change from the standard, find a nice material and download it. to forcing uploads to get access to the mxm?

frosty, I think you will still be able to download single materials as usual. This is just an extra offer to download hundreds of materials in one file.

Nice action, only....
It's a pity that the files are splitted into a lot of separate zip-files. further the provider is so smart that you only can download 1 file in 91 minutes for free. For example, the Architecture section has splitted into 21 files. This will cost a lot of time....

Hi all,

Of course you can all still download materials normally.... The 1 = 2700 campaign is exactly that: a special campaign to get lots of materials in one go.
The materials have been divided into groups of smaller .zip files because some categories are very large (architecture for example is 1 GB) and would cause server problems. It shouldn't take long to download the smaller .zip files.
Louis, I'm not sure what you mean by "you can only download 1 file in 91 minutes for free".... The files are available through a premium rapidshare account and should download quickly.

Hope this clears up things.
Thanks,

Nicole

Great offer, thanks Nicole :)

But it's as Luis said although he might have been somewhat diffuse in his reply. I'll try to clarify..

When you host something on Rapidshare it's nice and fast for people who have bought a premium account there, they can download without having any slowdowns and 90 minute delays they have to wait for files of this size. As a example i'm currently downloading the Metal section now and i have to wait 90 minutes between each file because i have no premium account at Rapidshare. It's kinda painful..

Would you like some help with hosting these files for a while Nicole ?

Hi,

Now I see.... :S
We weren't aware of this limitation with the Rapidshare account!!! We thought that having a Premium account would give fast access to everyone using it, but apparently it only gives us fast access.... doh...
We are trying to find a solution for this problem - let's hope the files will soon be quick and easy to download!!!

Thanks,

Nicole
