test renders.
I am rendering a reasonably big interior with little natural light. I want to render a grey scale (card type) model as a lighting test.
But these darn interiors and their reflective bounces and such take an age to clear up.

For fastest you could use a lambert set to around RGB 225 and use skydome instead of physical sky.

I thought lambert materials caused lots of noise? Or is that pure white lambertian?

You could go a bit higher. But 225 would be something similar to very bright white paper. If you look at Mike Verta's video tutorials about materials you'll get a better idea.
