I created the glass via MXM wizard, simple as you like. Scene is lit via HDRI map. I would expect the class to be clear at Sl15, any suggestions?

The combination of high grade glass and hdri = long render time.

Is your hdr blurred ? if not the blur it alot and try again. But in general hdr's add alot of noise and makes renderings take forever to clear. unfortunately..

The hdri is blurred . It is from Dosch and is 4mb. Should I skip the HDR and set up a few emitters maybe?

Alright, in that case yes you should go for a standard emitter setup instead. It's more effective until NL fixed the issue with slow rendering hdr's.

It looks to me like your image is almost clear. I would say if you can wait til SL17 or 18 you will be pleased. That's what I would do.

I thought HDRI enviornment lighting was faster. Did this change recently?

The SL rises faster, but the image actually clears slower in my experience.

it seems clear to me.

The glass itself looks blurry ... maybe lower the roughness value (if any).

Toooo many! Only got a P4 HT so about 13 hours...

Seriously, that image looks clear. What resolution are you rendering? I always render at double the resolution of my final image, then resize in photoshop. If you are rendering a low res shot, then it may never appear as clear as you would like.

....this is the same pic you posted in the first post....SL15 + 2minutes postwork in photoshop,...thats the fastest way I think....
