Can maxwell do it? didn't found anything in the library.
I'm going to test if i can starting with Tom's nickel plating. The idea is to get a material that is reflecting (like a mirror) during day shoot, and that become transparent during the night when inside light become more important than outside one.

so you made it at last

I remember a very old thread where a bunch of people banged their heads against the wall and didn't come up with any solution (actually I was one lazy chap who didn't even try, just kept telling it couldn't be done). wonder
how you made it.

wow quick. i think you can tint the glass a bit brownish. usually those added films are not that transparent.
Well, only one word. Master tom
Will show you later why i needed this

. Actually i'm designing a potery museum (first architectural competition all alone like a big kid for myself). so needed it, anyway, i'll throw other renders in my Maxwell pipeline asap.

It was quite easy and I decided to make it AGS for efficiency. You can replace the ghost layer with a glass when refraction is needed. This one is only suitable for typical thin glass panels.
rivoli, I remember that thread and I didn't have time to play with it but I didn't know it was a matter of 5 mins.

I hope it works...
