Bigger file size - puleeeeeeezzz!

I think currently we are seeing less and less materials uploaded. It might have to do with people reacting to the voting system (see different thread), but personally I would love to upload some more materials. But I can not get the Archives smaller than the IMHO ridiculous 700kB barrier. So every material containing a few maps, especially the ones that do not compress easily because of their "grain" is still sitting on my hard drive.

So please Next Limit, lift that barrier. I can understand if you guys want to restrict file size, but bring it to a certain level. I think we will see a lot more good materials then......

EDIT : I just ask myself : I can not upload something thats bigger than 700k. Why are some archives that I download 2MB ????

yes i agree

I have to reduce all images the qualaty to upload to 700k

and somtimes i think the materials don´t gonna be the same thing.

A couple of people have submitted high res variations of their maps at a location, where they give the link in the material description. Seems to work for me.

This is definitely a workaround, but to me it kind of defies the whole idea of having one central location for materials.

Kabe sorry to disagree

I think is a lot of trouble just to upload one material, i think everything must be on the MXgallery, because in that way you must download the material on MXMgallery and fo to other website to download the textures in hi-res, and join everything... i think the things must be more practical as possible.
