I have problems registering at the new MXM site which has just come online (see main site under Downloads). I tried with both Firefox and IE browsers but after filling in all my registraition information and pressing the button .. nothing happens (and I do not recieve any email confirming).

Any ideas ?

it works for me no problem,

uhh, I wonder what is the meaning of this
Our materials work in cross platforms. This means that you can create materials within your own application, no matter which one it is, share it with other users, and they will be able to use them even if they work in a different application.

Same here. Hope it will not require flash 8 or 9.

WELCOME! YOU ARE NOW SUSCRIBE
Went like a breeze here, gotta love NextLimit spanglish.
I think they overloaded their servers in the act of establishing that site, they're probably thinking "Someone set us up the bomb!" right now.

It means if you create an mxm on Mac it will also work on PC's and vice versa.

the blurb about working in another application is a bit confusing, at first I thought it was referring to non-maxwell renderers…

As Mihai says, the materials created will work with Maxwell on both Mac and PC .. but also cross 3D application ie. both with the Maxwell addin for Maya, 3ds Max etc.

Did you get this message on the webpage? .. when I press the "Register Now!" button the page just jumps to the top .. no apparent change on the webpage?

EDIT: Sorry, my bad ... just noticed it gives me a warning that that my username is too short ... I tried again and got what looks to be the correct message "Thanks for registration. Now confirm your registration by email. We send confirmation at lars@xlars.dk"

EDIT: Recieved the email and it works now!! Thank you

Worked fine here…
One typo I see is “You can change upload new materials.”

I think it would be nicer if the login was connected to the forum database, so that there is no need to register.

Thanks for the new feature. :)

Cheers,
Mark

I've been having trouble with this - I tried entering my information in order to register, and the screen froze up (wouldn't load the next page), but then, after pressing back and trying to re-submit, it tells me my log-in and e-mail are already in the system. But I've never been able to confirm, because they never sent me the e-mail. Any ideas?

smae here havent been able to login, anyway what about a small update on the site, with a gallery of thumbnail for the mat for example, to choose the material, instead of clicking throught a bunch of name and instance...
