Hey guys, here are some renders from my recent R&D on materials.
Specifically on those that are used in the FMCG industry and product viz.

Area of focus was on:
Flint Glass, Crown Glass, Chrome, Zamac, and some others.
Here are some images that I can share.
Would love to hear your feedback. ❤️

Here are the simballs :)

And here's the section view of geometry that I was using for testing

Same scene different environment (and .. well, different table)

More bottles ... obviously :)

And on the Stanford's Dragon (same scene as in Chrome above - for comparison)

Phew - that was a lot of images to upload :)

These are untouched renders - so no color correction or any touch up outside Maxwell was added (on some of the images I've corrected Burn value after rendering inside Maxwell to compress some of those funky highlights)

So, again, would love to hear your feedback, and of course, your C&C are always welcome, it's WIP after all :D

It was a long post .. I've added SSS to potatoes so it is still ..you know ... rendering 😜
Cheers.

Thanks for these - nice, crisp and clear renders. We're in the architecture and construction sector but it's always useful to improve our knowledge in what goes into adding realism to a render through accurate materials and their properties. Maxwell never ceases to amaze in what it can do. Thanks.
Will there be a Maxwell Render 6 ?

Let's be realistic. What's left of NL is only milk[…]
