your wax material doesn't appear to be very dense. it looks like you used a single sided sss instead of a solid becuase the candle itself looks hollow. it needs a higher Coefficient and Asymmetry values...... but the biggest issue is with your exposures not lining up at all between the emission of the single candle flame and the environment it is in. of course, I'm expecting everything I just said to go right over your head, but i hope that assumption is wrong

thanks
i used red wax in studio than i tried with two others from maxwell library ; it is not single sided sss
right now i made tests to improve the wax material
i have problem with the candle flame and other small light ; the small light hidden from the camera is visible from flame material (with mask) ; i think this is bug
and about lighting i continue study it
-----
i remember you did a nice tutorial about creating flame but i don't find it

nice
i will try that and thanks for th tutorial
the actual settings in studio : shutter : 1400 ; f-stop : 4.0
--------
the actual problem is with candle light ; i use hdr image with opacity mask if i add light and hide it i get black intersection
if i move the hidden light behind the flame it appear visible
so the problem : hidden light are visible behind texture with mask ; i will capture video
thanks again for the informations
