Dark surroundings

Hi,

I am having an interesting problem with Maxwell. Th ecenter of the picture has a good light distribution but the picture surroundings are quite dark. This is not the first time that it happened. I had a similar problem with a tower of 30 storis where the first 1/3 of the tower was ok but the rest was dark. If I try to increase light to get a brighter context, the subject becomes over exposed. What could be the problem?

I am using 11F/stop, 200 ISO, 100 Shutter spped and image based lighting.

the image you posted looks fine to me. are you referring to vignetting? what is your camera angle i,e, lens mm?

or are you referring to the actual geometry surroundings when shot/rendered?
