how would you simulate this (glare-dust-and-fog-free-glass)

found this article about a surface treatment of glass, which gives it a lotus effect.
and kills the reflection. was wondering how this can be simulated in maxwell.

Turning off fresnel-driven reflectance will help eliminating the reflections on the surface. So, you can make a glass with the wizard and simply turn off Force Fresnel option. Of course, both ref0 and ref90 should be pure black.
