Well, sorry to spoil the party. Unless it's intended to be like this, from a design (styling) point of view i think a lot of improvement could be made. To me this looks like it's from the seventies or so. The overall shape, the fillet treatment, the surfacing, all could be improved.
Also, if you intend to prototype this, i suggest to integrate a groove-rib along the edges for part alignment.

Hi Eric,

I'm glad that you say that it looks like a yoke from the seventies, because that's exactly what it is, to be fitted in a Cessna 172 sim

simple but effective.
About the alignment, I'll probably be using small pillars at the edges, but I'll also consider a grove-rib which indeed is much nicer!
