WIP of Hangar

Hi all,
This is a work in progress. Beyond the building, the landscape is just desert land mainly dirt and sand. No plants. I created a texture in PS and mapped it. But I am not really happy with it. I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers, examples on creating large ground textures. In this case dirt.

Looks good. I would say render a z-depth pass and use it to add slight haze in PS since it's such a far ranging shot. Also, I'd tone down the bright colors of the vehicles as they pull away the eye from the building.

What is the proper method of applying the z-depth pass in Photoshop?

render z pass
load as alpha channel in p shop
activate and invert this alpha
apply gaussian blur with radius... probably 2-4 pixels in this case

What I do is use it as a mask, and add a white layer under the masked render layer. Then I adjust the mask's levels as necessary for the amount of haze you want.
